What is the IB and the Diploma Programme?

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an international educational organisation, which develops students with an attitude of lifelong learning. At our school, we offer the Diploma Programme, an IB curriculum taught in the final two years of schooling that balances academic and personal development, promoting enquiry skills, critical thinking and intercultural sensitivity.

Through this curriculum, students are prepared for both higher education and the challenges of a globalised world, forming responsible, informed and empathetic citizens.

How do we implement it?

At New Cambridge School we implement the IB Diploma Programme with a strong curriculum structure that combines academic rigour and global relevance. We integrate core components, such as Monograph, Theory of Knowledge and CAS, into meaningful activities that enhance critical thinking and social engagement.

We offer personalised academic and emotional support to help our students reach their full potential. In addition, we promote an active link with the environment, connecting learning with reality, and we carry out constant evaluation and feedback to ensure continuous improvement and excellence every step of the way.
